Old National Donates $20,000, Establishes Account to Assist With Tornado Recovery Efforts

EVANSVILLE, Ind., March 6, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Old National Bancorp will contribute $20,000 toward tornado relief efforts- $10,000 designated to the victims of the February 29 disaster that impacted communities in Southern Illinois and $10,000 directed to aid in the recovery in Southern Indiana and contiguous counties in Northern Kentucky that were devastated on March 2.

In addition, Old National has partnered with the American Red Cross to establish a disaster relief account for the benefit of those communities impacted by storm damage. Anyone who wishes to support the relief efforts in Southern Illinois, Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky may do so by visiting any branch of Old National or Indiana Bank & Trust (Old National's newly-acquired partner) to make a donation to the Midwest Tornado Relief efforts.

Old National operates two branches in Harrisburg, Ill., one of which (719 Rollie Moore Drive) was damaged as a result of the February 29 tornado and remains closed.* Old National has associates and clients in several of the Southern Indiana counties that received heavy storm damage during the March 2 severe weather outbreak, including Scott, Washington, Ripley and Jefferson and contiguous Kentucky counties such as Trimble. While no Old National facilities in Southern Indiana or Kentucky received severe damage during the storms, several of our clients were directly impacted.

In addition to financial support, Old National is working with the Red Cross and other agencies to provide ongoing volunteer support for disaster recovery and cleanup efforts. On Saturday, March 3, approximately 30 Old National volunteers gathered in Harrisburg to assist in the clean-up effort.
